this is my happy place ❤️. . . .every weekend or so, I get to sneak away for a few hours to a local coffee shop that I love, while Eric does something fun with the kids. . . .It’s a chance to write and think and make things. A little window of time when I can finally pour everything out of my head that’s been gathering and bouncing around for weeks. (today it was my book proposal and new pieces for The Search for Self for February!) . . . .this is what self-care looks like for me. I feel so much better afterwards - as though lighter. I feel more like myself. . . .I’m getting better at noticing how I feel without it and learning to schedule it into my weekly planning. I’m also getting used to the idea that having a routine or schedule isn’t restrictive and takes away freedom. Instead I’m putting things into place to take care of myself, whether I like it or not sometimes. . . . .for those in The Search for Self (@thesearchfor_self ) I’m wondering if you would be interested in seeing how I schedule self care into my monthly planning?
