This is main street Emo, the small town where I grew up.
On one side of the street you will find businesses and on the other, a river. Take a boat across the river and you will find yourself in Minnesota.

Back in the day, Front Street included:
The CIBC (where my Mom worked)
Tompkins Hardware
The Drugstore
Bargains Unlimited (a clothing store)*
SEARS (where we could pick up our SEARS catalogue orders)
Gillon’s Insurance
The Old Emo Legion*
Ella’s Pizza (The Pizza Pantry)*
Meyer’s Clothing
Some apartments
Cloverleaf Grocery Store*
The Post Office*
and a laundromat somewhere. (I remember walking down a set of stairs into a basement – the colour yellow, the smell of laundry detergent, and noisy machines).
*the asterisk means that this business / building is no longer. It either closed or was relocated.
