If you love scones, here’s an easy recipe to make your own at home:

I came across this recipe in a Flow Magazine.



If you don’t bake using grams, here are the conversions that I used:

3 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter cubed
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup icing sugar
150 mL buttermilk or milk

Preheat oven to 425 F


I’m not one for plain scones – I like folding in different ingredients when I get to the step of pressing the dough into a slab.

This time I added in blueberries and pears.

Raspberries and chocolate taste really good as a combo.  Adding blueberries and a lemon glaze is another good one too.

With it being Christmas time, you could add cranberries, pistachios, nutmeg, cinnamon…lots of different things!  I came across this recipe that looks really good too: Christmas Morning Scones. If you try them, let me know how they are!
